About FocusNow

Deep work shouldn't require deep effort.

FocusNow started with a question we kept asking at the end of busy days: where did all that time go? We read the research on attention, took inspiration from Cal Newport's Deep Work, and built something simple that bends to your rules. Once you know where your day goes, the week and the month fall into place, and there's room again for the work that matters and the life around it.

A note from the founders

FocusNow is built by two people, Cihan and Barbaros. We didn't start it to squeeze more hours out of ourselves. We started it to waste fewer of them: to finish focused work in focused time and keep the rest for family, hobbies and downtime. We wanted to see where our days went without handing that answer to a surveillance tool, so we built our own. We use FocusNow every day, and it grows with what our users tell us. When you write to info@focusnow.ai, one of us answers.

Effortless

No buttons to press to be tracked. FocusNow runs in the background and shows you where your time went. The rules are yours: you decide what counts as focus and what counts as distraction.

Private by design

No screenshots, no keystrokes. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest and never sold. You can export it or delete your account whenever you like.

Honest

We say what we collect, how we store it and why. We also say what FocusNow doesn't do, on our comparison pages and in the app.

Not just words: read our privacy policy or see what ships in the changelog.
